Education
I have grown up and been nurtured in a seaside town called Southport which is a beautiful town full of culture. Since High School when I took on iMedia BTEC level 2 I felt I knew what I wanted to do because I enjoyed the projects on the course so much it gave me a feeling of enjoyment which no other subjects did. This therefore made me work hard and get a Distinction in the course, I also pushed myself in all the other GCSEs, so I was able to peruse my media dream in a profound college called Runshaw in Leyland. I chose to do BTEC media and film production as I had a special interest in the film aspect of this course which I felt will help nurture me into my future. This course has taught me a lot about different media sectors and help me develop to having a future in the industry. Many projects which we have worked on I feel you can see me gradually improving with the quality and the professional look of my work.

Skills and Experience

Through my years at college I have been spending my class time and spare time to upgrade myself and my ability in many things in apart of media. I started of by watching YouTube tutorial of photoshop to learn the basics of it as I was really interested in photoshop and the different things you can use it for. Furthermore, with college they told us to go and find a placement to do one day a week so, I got into contact with my aunt who works as an actor and she put me in contact with a production company which she has worked with before in the city of Liverpool. This was an amazing experience for me as it leant so much about the whole production process of a small company in a big city, this company was called Jack All-Productions and it mainly made small advertisement videos for small business but it also handled some big cooperate videos which was really interesting learning the process of how an idea can turn into reality. Through this I watched, learnt and preformed aspects of media including the editing process on final cut pro which I really enjoyed and would class as a skill I’ve learnt through this. I went on through lockdown and taught myself how to use illustrator making simple edits of some of my hobbies and interests as these personalise to me which I enjoy making for me own enjoyment and I upload these to my twitter to show people with the same interests.
